1. Is the range of nearby the same as AoE? My RF has 25 AoE in PoB and Legacy has nearby enemies are scorched. 2. Does Legacy of Fury boots actually scorch enemies nearby? The old description on the fandom wiki says: https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Legacy_of_Fury Im bad at math. Last bumped on Feb 4, 2023, 8:39:23 PM |

"Nearby" is THE most ambiguous term in PoE. There is literally no set range as a rule and practically everything with the nearby tag has its own range. It has nothing to do with your AoE or any investment you have into AoE. The only way to know how much range a particular thing has is either to look it up or test it. Legacy of Fury will scorch anything within its nearby range. Last edited by TemjinGold on Feb 4, 2023, 9:37:03 AM |

If you want to know if a nearby enemy is scorched, move your cursor over them. As a non-damaging ailment, scorch and its magnitude will be displayed underneath the enemy's health bar. The old description from the Fandom wiki is literally that, a description of the old version of Legacy of Fury. Any Legacy of Fury obtained since 3.17 will have the current modifier, "Nearby enemies are scorched", instead. Try checking the new wiki instead: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Legacy_of_Fury |

" I know, its 17% all the time. Could it have something to do with inflict exposure? That would explain my perception which i dont share alone But on the other hand, these two scorch doesnt add up right? Im bad at math. Last edited by LoTharios on Feb 4, 2023, 11:08:33 AM |

I can't find anything on your character that'd suggest that moving around them instead of standing over them would do more damage. I tried standing by and running around the unique enemy in the Desecrated Chambers in Act 10, but it didn't seem to die any faster. If you had a skill with a life cost on left click I'd have suggested Lifetap as the cause, but that isn't the case. If you have Molten Shell on left click, though, the explosion from the buff ending could be applying Exposure. Ailments don't combine, only the strongest ailment applied on the enemy takes effect. Since Legacy of Fury and Dawnbreaker both apply a 10% Scorch, Dawnbreaker's Scorch shouldn't add more damage on top of Legacy of Fury's Scorch. The reddit post you're referring to there was one month after the start of the league when Legacy of Fury was changed, and a lot of people in the same thread still thought it dropped Scorched Ground still. I'd wager that the poster was also talking about the old version of the item. While I couldn't find a still image showing how bad the Scorched Ground's area was, there is this short video clip that shows it off: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/mpyu2c/forgotten_explosion_mechanic_legacy_of_fury/ The red trail they're leaving behind as they're moving is the Scorched Ground the old version dropped. It's AoE was much smaller than the current "Nearby enemies are Scorched", except with the benefit from the Scorched Ground lingering even after you walk away. |
